All scholarship award applicants are expected to be active members of our postgraduate community and will engage with opportunities to current their work to the wider candidate and staff body during the period secured by their award.
Candidates due to pay international tuition charges will be liable for the dissimilarity between the UK rate of the fee and the international tuition charges. These awards will be tenable for 1 educational year.
To be Allowed for Ailie Donald Scholarship at the University of Edinburgh 2023, candidates are expected to check the following conditions:
- Candidates should be international students
- Candidates must apply for a Masters’s degree course
- Candidates should take part in the full-time study course
- The scholarships will be awarded to applicants who are accepted for admission to 1 of the following programs of study, within the School of Philosophy, Psychology & Language Sciences at the University of Edinburgh.
- MSc English Language
- MSc by researching the English Language
- MSc Linguistics
- MSc in Research Linguistics
- Partiality will be provided to candidates for the MSc by Research courses and graduates of the University of Edinburgh.
- Candidates must have, or expect to get a First Class Honours degree at the undergraduate level or the international equal.

How-to-Apply: To gain access to the scholarship application system, candidates should have enrolled for admission to the University of Edinburgh. Please check that, following the submission of an application for admission, it can take up to 5 working days for all system note to be completed and for access to be granted.
