Start your study in Iceland. The Iceland Writers Retreat Alumni Award is announced all over the world. This Retreat provides a full and partial scholarship to intelligent writers to assist them in connecting with other great writers and enhancing their writing abilites. The 2025 Retreat is scheduled for April 23 – 27, 2025. The venue for 2025 will be the Fosshotel Reykjavík.

Partial Funding
- Partial granting protects the contributor’s fee only, and neither living allowance nor round-trip flights.
Eligibility
- Everyone who is aged 18 or over can enroll.
- Applications from people of all backgrounds and with all levels of writing experience.
- The Competition is declared to the nationals of all the world.
- IELTS is not needed, but proficiency in English is needed.
- The recipients will be selected based primarily on 2 factors:
- The potential they demonstrate (or have demonstrated) as a writer.
- They require financial help to be able to attend.
- Assessment of the answers in the online application.
- Applications will be reviewed by a section of IWR alumni.
