The Scholarships in Saudi Arabia are jointly sponsored by IDB and KAUST to award five scholarships yearly. The scholarship is a fully-funded program as per the KAUST rules and processes and will be supported throughout the allowed time of the study program. Under the Scholarships in Saudi Arabia program, citizens of IDB group countries are allowed to enroll for the scholarship to study at KAUST for a full-time four-year PhD.

Eligibility Criteria Saudi Arabia IDB & KAUST Joint Scholarships :
The applicants should be:
- A national of an IDB member country (check the IDB Merit Scholarship Program for a full listing of member countries)
- Age not over 35 years
- Engaged in full-time employment in an academic, research, or progressing organization in the home country, and the application is mentioned by that organization
- Meets the eligibility standard of the IDB Merit Scholarship Program
- Have a firm registration offer at the KAUST for a Ph.D. program
